An Innovative Approach to Managing Software Requirements

Requirements may be the most critical aspect of the software development cycle. Studies point to a more than 60% failure rate for software projects in the U.S., with poor requirements as one of the top five reasons. Managing requirements must be an integral part of an organization's overall development process, and is vital to mitigating risk on large development projects.

This paper reviews the current state of the tools landscape and details MKS's innovative solution for requirements management. Built as an extension of its application lifecycle management system, see why MKS Requirement's integrated approach is more cost effective, and how it facilitates intra-team communication better than competitive solutions. For organizations already using Telelogic DOORS, it offers information on how MKS integrates to deliver full coverage of the application development lifecycle.
